Rituals are often based on creating a story with images that engage the body and mind. This process of creating symbols and attaching meaning to these images is a very similar process used within dreams, so it does make sense how rituals are a method to help energize and improve the ability to interpret dreams.
Types of Dreams
A dream may be a message from your Spiritual self, your Higher Self, or your Spiritual Guide.
You may find yourself recalling or remembering a dream and sometimes when that happens, it means the dream was significant.
A significant dream means it has a message or a special meaning. Not all dreams are significant. Some dreams are just dreams. But the dreams that are significant are called "real dreams". Real dreams are the ones we want to receive and also want to understand. Real dreams can have an important message for us. Real dreams are the dreams we want to pay attention to.
If the dream feels significant to you, the dream will linger with you not only after you wake up, but through the day and perhaps even years later. The more significant the dream, the more impact it will have on your memory. Dreams, if they are a significant, will have an interpretation or an insight, and as such, can help you with your life. The dreams with the strongest impression usually do so with a purpose.
Interpretation & Insight
The interpretation and insight do not generally have a visual aspect in the dream. In other words, how could you visualize an insight? An insight is a feeling that you get when you understand the interpretation and the interpretation.
Visualize Whole Dream
It is important to visualize dreams as a whole and not to become stuck on what each symbol means but what the total of the symbols are trying to convey. Not all dreams are readily interpretable until perhaps the events or partial events take place.
Dream Interpretation Process
Here is the process to help guide you in interpreting the dream.
- Established an overview of the dream
- Interpret the overview
- After interpretation of the overview, then gain the insight and meaning of the dream
Interpretation is what the dream images represent. Interpretation is taking the images and translating them into a message. Sometimes the process can feel like the game of charades - taking images and clues and then piecing them together.
Insight and Lessons - The Dream Message
Insight is the lesson or the teaching to be learned. The insight can come from the mind or the Higher Self. Generally it is the subconscious trying to inform the conscious. The dreams that seem to standout vividly and have a tremendous impact are generally from your Higher Self.
In the interpretation process, maintain an open mind. Once you have thought about an interpretation and have decided that it is not complete, you must be willing to disregard that interpretation. As you explore interpretations to dreams, permit your mind to wander and explore other completely unrelated possibilities.
