If the feeling is both positive and equal, then either is correct. If the feeling is both negative, then both are wrong.
Obviously if both are neither right or wrong, the situation and course may not matter. The problem arises when neither is clear cut. The solution is that you need more thought.
When you have concerns about the decisions it is often helpful to engage in a meditation about the decision. But what if it is not convenient to engage in a full meditation?
Then simply relax and allow the mind to analyze what you are concerned about. In other words, ponder the subject similar to a day dream. The mind will surprise you with what it will come up with; new ideas and new ways of looking at things, but one must keep control, for the mind will tend to wander onto tangents. But by keeping the focus in a gentle manner, then you will be able to gain some benefits. Again, this is a technique that may be used when one can not spare the amount of time required for a full meditation or if it would not e socially accepted to do so. So the concept is to allow the mind to have its freedom within limits. This is a very creative process. Pondering and creativity are linked together. One may free your creative spirit by pondering on different subject that you wish to investigate.
