Here is the process used for growing and inspecting different ideas and thoughts:
- Choose an Idea. Before you meditate, decide on what specific thought or idea you want to explore, such as what is love? Or “why do I feel hate?” Orr how can I help others?”
- Plant the Thought and Wait. You can meditation on any other specific idea. As you gain the level of meditation you feel comfortable with, plant your chosen thought in your mind and wait and see what thoughts it attracts. For example, the thought “what is love” will generate many thoughts and ideas but only some may be related to your original idea.
- Discard Thoughts Not Related to Your Original Idea All other thoughts should be discarded by your mind and always returning your thoughts to the original.
- Inspect and compare the new thoughts coming into your mind. Inspect the ideas and thoughts, compare them, or analyze them with how they relate to the original idea. You may gain insight into the original idea in this manner.
