Experience is gained through the earthly life.

Insight is gained through spiritual experiences. 

When you see possibilities that you have not seen before, when you have greater understanding than you had before, this is insight. 

Insight produces a chain reaction, like a ripple affecting the water.  You first gain an insight, it then becomes knowledge, and then it grows and becomes wisdom.

A word of caution.  When you receive an insight, it seems clear and common place and readily discernable, but as time passes, the feelings fade.  You may intellectually understand the feeling of newness and freshness, but the feelings dissolve and may not return.  Therefore, it is important when you obtain an insight to dwell upon it to sense the ramifications or ripples that it generates and to dwell upon those so that the reaction continues and a greater benefit can be obtained.  This will help “burn the thoughts” into the mind. 

Gaining Spiritual Experiences

You gain experience just through living on the earth. You gain insight by having spiritual experiences. Often those spiritual experiences are associated with your physical experience.

Your minds eye, or 6th chakra, sees things or develops understanding through life’s experiences and spiritual experiences. Life’s experiences are related to the everyday activities and not everyday activities that occupy your existence during this life. But spiritual experiences, one obtains through desire and earnestly seeking. 

There are many ways to seek spiritual experiences; astral travel, meditation, dreams, pondering, etc. There are many ways to obtain spiritual experiences.  The goal of spiritual development is spiritual experiences, gaining understanding, developing wisdom, and insight.

Do not assume that spiritual growth will be in areas different than your life’s concerns. In reality your earthly life’s experience dictate the direction of your spiritual growth. In other words, you seek and receive insight concerning the matters that concern you in your earthly existence. Or in other words, to tie the spiritual development and earthly life development together you ask or seek insight concerning both. This is how you put your spiritual development to use in your earthly lives; because your spiritual development is in areas of interest to your earthly lives. 

So, to marry the spiritual and the physical aspects of life, the way is to ask and receive spiritual insights about physical earthly concerns. In this way you apply your spiritual insight, knowledge, wisdom, to your existence. In reality you could not separate them if you wished. 

Your higher self programs the earthly personality so that the earthly existence or mind can accomplish its goals. So how does one guarantee or program things so that certain experiences and learning will be received during ones life cycle?
The person will experience desires that will draw or pull them to certain types of experiences.
