Telepathy is a tool of communication that can be developed to communicate with your higher self, your guides, and with other beings and fragments on other planes.  The experience of telepathy can be very disconcerting to realize that you are receiving others thoughts.  In fact, it can be downright confusing trying to first, which are yours and which are theirs.  But as the mind settles down and accepts the experience, you will recognize that your thoughts are controlled, you can start and stop and change the subject, but the telepathic thought seem to appear without warning or notice.  You cannot change their content at will, but you can stop their reception by desiring their stoppage.  In other words, you no longer seek the other person’s thoughts.  It does take considerable effort to gain telepathy, but is considerably easier to restrict it.
