How does a person connect and integrate with the earth to develop and expand spiritual energy? It is a matter of focus, attention, and using your senses.
You can connect with the earth almost anytime. Essentially, you can either be outdoors or may stay indoors, but visualize an outdoor scene in your mind (similar to daydreaming).
If you can be outdoors, and take your shoes and socks off, turn your attention to the feel the dirt, sand, grass, or stones on your feet. Allow your senses to flow freely; what does the touch on your feet and skin feel like? Is it cold or wet? what do you smell? Is there a taste in the air? Notice the details of nature and register what you are seeing and experiencing at this moment. How do you feel? Connect and be the energy around you. Absorbed this energy. Close your eyes and see/feel what this energy is doing with your chakras, especially the first and seventh chakra.
You can take a walk or stroll, and turn your attention to all the sensations coming within you.
Sit, pause, and just be. Focus your attention on your breath, in and out and the feeling of just “being” and how you relate and interact with the energy of the earth.
Gentle Movements – Qigong or Tai Chi
Or you can do gentle movements on the earth, such as Qigong or Tai Chi exercises, all the while drawing energy from the earth into your being. Connect with the energy of the earth and it’s flow, bringing it into your very being.
You can do the standing, sitting, walking, or gentle movements on the earth for short or long moments. With repetition, such as daily connections, you will start to sense changes within yourself during these moments of connection with the earth. Your soul, spirit, and mind will start to not only feel nourished, but you may start to feel your soul expand during these moments you connect with the energy of the earth.
