The experience of gaining the understanding will often be presented as a thought that has a deeper and greater understanding than what you normally have. This is the insight and knowledge process that was learned during astral travels.
All experience lead to knowledge, but wisdom and insight come from the depth of knowledge. For example, you may comprehend mathematics, but unless you delved deeply into that experience, pure understanding and insight is not forthcoming. Many may know how to add and subtract, but few understand simple calculations, and even fewer understand deeper mathematic principles. But all are based upon an understanding of addition and subtraction.
It is not required to remember every detail of an astral travel experience. The way that knowledge and insight and wisdom in obtained is through the energy body experiencing and understanding astral matters that it can then recall to the mental mind. The mental mind needs to desire the need for the information and it creates a need for it.
Your dreams will broaden as your travel experience increases. New insights and wisdom and understanding of past and future will increase through your dreams. The mental mind accepts information, especially details better in this fashion.
Information is Acquired in Batches
You obtain information on the astral level much like a computer does; in large batches very quickly; mostly raw data. It takes a period of time for your mind to first comprehend and then visualize this data, for as the energy body receives it, there is no visualization that accompanies it. Simply, the way knowledge is passed is by the knowing process. You simply know the information without experiencing or visualizing it. The mental mind, however, cannot put this to use unless it places some reference to it in the physical plane. So it creates visualizations and experiences that allow the information to become useful. This is why there is a time lag.
The Mind Has to be Willing to Accept the Information
It may become possible that the understanding of the information can be instantaneous with much experience, or if the travel experience was uniquely strong or unusual. You may travel greatly and freely and easily if the mind is accepting of the situation and is able to visualize and experience the data. If travel was unexpected or if you were unprepared, the mind may simply ignore the experience or may create some story to try and understand it, which may be a complete fabrication. In other words, you travel and create a visualization which is not useful.
When you travel to the astral you first train your mind to remember the travel experience. The mind will the experience into images and sensations the mind understands and can accept. The understanding and interpretation of the travel experience comes later. Sometimes it comes at unexpected moments, such as when something triggers the release of that understanding and awareness. But before the understanding and insight will be released, the soul must feel there is a desire for the insight.
