As you experience this, notice that feelings and thoughts arrive without effort and that a period of openness can also be established. In other words, let your mind wander and then the feelings or thoughts may enter. A mind engaged in exercise is not free to receive.
As you meditate, choose one or two points or thoughts to consider. For example, the thought of improved memory and the related thought of travel remembrance. Don’t try to put too much into it. Keep it simple so that the mind can broaden and grow and so that the mind is clear of trying to remember what comes next.
