- The first chakra is located at the base of the spine and is usually depicted by the color red.
- The second chakra is located near the sexual organs and above the first chakra. It is depicted by the color orange.

Each chakra has a different type of spiritual energy, frequency, or vibration. The lower chakra points (point one, two, and three) are closer to the earth and are considered to be more “physical” in nature. They are perhaps more tactile than the upper chakra points (five, six, and seven). For example, you ground through the first chakra, and the other two deal with more physically related or bodily functions (sex and emotions). The energies of the upper chakras are considered to be more mental, ethereal, and spiritual and are closer to the "heavens."
The chakra points are balanced and aligned, even though there are an odd number of chakras. There are three upper chakras and three lower chakra points and the fourth chakra is considered neutral. The fourth chakra relates to the heart.
First Chakra—Grounding Energy
The spiritual energy associated with the first chakra is related to grounding energy and connecting with the earth. It is the energy that connects us with-and- to the life force energy. This energy is also a sensing energy, for it is this energy that is used to help us sense earth energy points. This energy is also used to help us sense a persons character or even a persons essence that may have been left on the earth. This is the energy we see as instinctual or gut reaction type of energy. This is the energy that is used to sense earth energy centers.
The spiritual development tool that is most closely associated with this type of spiritual energy is food, in part because all food comes from the earth in some or another. Food is our connection to-and-with the earth. We consume food, and thereby consume and partake of the earth’s energy.
Second Chakra—Creative Energy
The second chakra is associated with the energy of creativity. This energy is associated with all aspects of creation. The ability to sense truth is often the result of using this energy.
The spiritual development tool that is most closely associated with this spiritual energy is sex. Sex is the act of creation, there by, creative energy.
Third Chakra—Emotional Energy
The spiritual energy associated with the third chakra is related to emotional energy and as a result, feelings. The ability to sense and interpret feelings, yours as well as others, is associated with the energy of this chakra. The energies of this chakra can also be use help you sense and "feel" the past, present, and future. This is because often the energy of emotions are the signatures we leave behind. People sensitive to this energy are able to feel and pick up on the energy of the past and often the future.
The spiritual development tool most closely associated with third chakra energy is music. Music is the energy of emotions. It carries and communicates emotions and feelings like no other type of medium or tool.
Fourth Chakra—Energy of Love
The fourth chakra’s spiritual energy is associated with the energy of love. The energies associated with this chakra are associated with love in all forms: the ability to love yourself, your partner, family, friends, humankind; all life. The spiritual gift results of this energy is "command projection" which is the ability to cause and make changes. This energy is used to project changes based on what you are projecting. The ability to do this is based on love. It requires love. Love is the change-maker. The basic energy of the universe is love. The energy of love is the center concept of all existence. Love is the way the TAO keeps everything together and a part of itself.

Fifth Chakra—Energy of Communication
The fifth chakra’s spiritual energy is associated with communication. Communication takes many different forms, but one of the key forms of this energy is communicating between your spiritual self and your Higher Self with your physical self. The result of this energy is the ability to remember and also interpret your dreams.
